Competing in the attention economy

This is an amazing presentation I stumbled across on linkedin and it could not be more timely.  With many of the conversations I have had over the past several months, the topic of attention has been the central theme.  It is the what we have a limited amount of and what we compete for in the marketplace.  We are not as nearly protective of it as we should be.  We possess only so much and whatever we focus on is what gets done.

Do you make conscious decisions each day on what you will focus on?  Do others make that decision for you?  We should talk less about time and more about focus.  We should have classes on focus management!  After watching this, think about your opportunity costs and what you could do differently in order to get better results for yourself.
